Baked clinkers – keiform
Baked pavers are available in a variety of sizes. Keiform size clinkers are also sometimes called 10-inchers or buns. The size of these clinkers is 20×10 inches. Usually there are 50 pieces in a square meter.
Baked clinkers – thick format
Another size of baked clinkers is the thick format, also called 7-inch clinkers. They have a size of 21×7 cm. About 72 of these go into a square meter.
Baked clinkers – waal format
A third size of a baked clinker, is the waal format. This waal format is also sometimes called 5-inchers or (old) waaljes. The size of this paving stone is 20×5 cm, and about 100 waalformaat clinkers fit in a square meter.
Baked clinkers – row format
The last size of clinkers, the row format, is less common than clinkers in cobble, thick or wall format. Rhine format clinkers are also called (old) rhinestones or triplets. The sizes of these bricks are 17×4.5×8 cm. About 125 are laid per square meter.
